  • Sign the petition calling on Starbucks to respect workers and come to the bargaining table in good faith to negotiate a fair contract.

Background

Since December 2021, more than 8,500 Starbucks workers have organized 350+ stores, calling for Starbucks to uphold the forward-thinking values it claims to stand for, respect workers’ fundamental right to organize, and bargain a fair contract with their workers.

Despite the power that workers have built and our eagerness to engage with the company, Starbucks continues to use whatever tactics they can think of to get in the way of workers’ efforts to make improvements in their workplace.

Now Starbucks customers and allies have joined the fight. On August 7th, Starbucks customers and allies launched protests at 332 stores across 32 states, educating consumers about our union and calling on Starbucks to respect workers’ right to organize.

On September 14th, customers, educators, and students will hold Starbucks accountable and demand they live up to their values. Together, we’ll send the message that we won’t let up until Starbucks quits union-busting and starts respecting worker rights!

Baristas should have union representation! Thousands of workers have joined @SBWorkersUnited, but Starbucks has refused to negotiate a contract in good faith. As a @NEAToday union member, I'm telling Starbucks it's time to come to the table! bit.ly/SBWUJoin

A Starbucks gift card won't cut it. Join me in the movement to support @SBWorkersUnited and their push for fair wages and respectful working conditions. Together, we can make change happen!

Request that families DO NOT BUY Starbucks Gift Cards

Starbucks makes a lot of money off of gift cards. According to Starbucks, they made $181M on unused gift cards in 2021, and there is over $1 billion sitting on gift cards.

Join in solidarity with Starbucks Workers United by suggesting families seek alternative support for you and your fellow educators.

Sign Starbucks Workers United's Petition!

Starbucks workers are engaged in one of the most visible, national organizing campaigns in decades. For more than a year, thousands of Starbucks workers have voted, marched, petitioned and protested to demand Starbucks respect their right to a union so they have a voice in their workplace over pay, scheduling, and more.

Starbucks, which posted $3.3 billion in profits last year, has responded with a brutal, bullying anti-union campaign of threats, intimidation, firings, store closings and refusing to meet workers at the bargaining table–becoming one of the most prolific union-busters in modern U.S. history.

Sign the petition calling on Starbucks to respect workers and come to the bargaining table in good faith to negotiate a fair contract.
