We provide cutting-edge resources from OEA experts—our staff, affiliates, and members—on the skills and topics educators need to join, stay in, and advance our profession.

Events

OEA offers professional learning opportunities on a variety of relevant topics and skills to help you grow in your professional practice. All courses and events are free as a benefit of your union membership and range in length from one hour to one year. Most offer PDUs and/or undergraduate/graduate credit. Facilitators

OEA member facilitators come from a from a variety of schools, specialties, and disciplines. They are practicing educators sharing their wisdom and expertise with other members.

Independent Study

Are you looking for a way to grow your professional practice on your own timeline in independent study? Are you interested in earning PDUs or graduate credits? OEA independent study options allow you to do just this.

Keeping the Promise of Quality Public Education

The Oregon Education Association (OEA) is a union committed to the cause of providing the basic right of great public education to every student. OEA represents about 41,000 educators working in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 public schools and community colleges. OEA’s membership includes licensed teachers and specialists, classified/education support professionals (ESPs), community college faculty, retired educators, and student members. OEA members also belong to the 3.2 million members of the National Education Association (NEA).
