The National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality was created by the 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality, Repression & the Criminalization of a Generation. Their aim was to expose the epidemic of police brutality. They ask citizens to wear black on this day to honor the lives of victims of police brutality.

The Day Tajon Got Shot - T'Asia, J'yona, Reiyanna Davis, Jonae Haynesworth, Makiya, Rose, Najae, Serenity Summers, Jeanet, & Temil - In March, 2015 ten teenage girls from Beacon House in Washington DC started writing a novel during the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement. They began with one central question: “What really happens in a community when a Black youth is the victim of violence by police?”
