Education Policy & Practice Strategist
The Education Policy & Practice Strategist (“Strategist”) serves to implement OEA’s Strategic Plan goal of educator-driven innovation and policymaking. This position provides a sound foundation for educator leadership and transformation through new research, innovation policy and direct strategic and technical support at the state and local level. The Strategist works directly with OEA local unions, school districts and community colleges, state agencies, higher-education and research institutions, and education advocacy and stakeholder groups, to build capacity around education quality initiatives, school improvement and system effectiveness strategies that are student-centered and shaped by educators.
This position is responsible for assisting local union leaders, members and staff with research support on the development and implementation of quality education initiatives, federal and state grant programs, accountability systems, supports and interventions. This position supports the development and promotion of evidence-based policy research and data-based analysis, systems assessment, school and district-wide continuous-improvement strategies, and coordinate cross-functional teams of educators and stakeholders.
Facilities & Operations Specialist
The Facilities & Operations Specialist is responsible for a wide variety of tasks and projects that facilitate smooth, safe, and accessible operation of all OEA owned and leased facilities, office administration, and identified human resources functions.
UniServ Administrative Assistant - Beaverton OR
The person in this position provides complex administrative support to the identified UniServ Consultant(s) and to the locals served by that Consultant. Duties include but are not limited to: membership data analysis and updates, bargaining support, political action support, assistance to local leaders and members, and event coordination.
