Our Equity Director

Monica Weathersby is the Equity Director of the Oregon Education Association. She is a caring leader who fearlessly uses her skills and position to seek justice for educators and for students.

Monica Weathersby is a proud mother of four, and is an elementary teacher. Concurrently, in her local union, she chaired membership, oversaw the sick bank, and was a union building representative. Monica enjoys helping members in our union lift each other up, so that we and our families can have a better future!

The Oregon Education Association (OEA) is a union committed to the cause of providing the basic right of great public education to every student. OEA represents about 41,000 educators working in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 public schools and community colleges.
