OEA Relief Fund: SNAP Grants

Educators Feed The Hungry Grant Program
OEA Relief Fund grant program

About the Program

In response to the ongoing SNAP funding crisis, which has left many families struggling to afford basic groceries, the OEA Relief Fund has launched a critical grant program. Through this initiative, each UniServ Council can receive up to $10,000 to distribute directly to a local food bank or pantry in their area. These grants are designed to bolster essential food assistance services and ensure that children and families facing food insecurity have reliable access to nutritious food. By empowering UniServ Councils to support trusted community partners, the OEA Relief Fund aims to provide immediate relief while strengthening the local safety net during a critical time.

How to Apply

  1. Locate the grant application form and related finance documents at the bottom of this page.
  2. Complete the fillable PDF or print and complete handwritten application and email to the addresses specified on the form.

Application Deadline: November 23, 2025

Share Your Success Story

After the Relief Fund grant is issued to the local food bank or pantry, OEA Local leaders are encouraged to share the impact of the grant with OEA.

If possible, please send in a photo featuring your local leadership team with the staff from the community organization receiving the grant funds. We look forward to sharing the impact our members have on our local communities beyond the walls of our public schools.
