Resources for unpacking the film Freedom Song about the story of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), a grass roots effort of young people that helped propel the Civil Rights Movement.

Inspired by accounts of the women and men on the front lines of the Civil Rights Movement, Freedom Song chronicles a family nearly torn apart by the impact of the movement on a small Mississippi town. It places heroism squarely on the shoulders of the local people, the unsung volunteers who risked their lives to make change at the grassroots level.
