Black History Month 2022

A celebration of Black History Month.

In celebration of Black History Month, we pair the article "How Mahalia Jackson Sparked Martin Luther King Jr.’s 'I Have a Dream' Speech" with two videos below, The Dangers of Whitewashing Black History and Lift Every Voice and Sing. Often referred to as "The Black National Anthem," Lift Every Voice and Sing was a hymn written as a poem by NAACP leader James Weldon Johnson in 1900.
