Christy Brown was born on this day in Ireland in 1932. She had cerebra palsy, and became famous for defying stereotypes and prejudice as a painter, poet, author, and artist.

OEA represents about 41,000 educators working in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 public schools and community colleges.
