Anniversary of Plyer v Doe Decision

In 1982, the Supreme Court struck down a state statute denying funding for the education of undocumented immigrant children and determined that undocumented children could not be denied an education. The application of Plyler v. Doe has been limited to K-12 schooling.

OEA represents about 41,000 educators working in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 public schools and community colleges.
