Anniversary of the anti-fascist strike by Dutch doctors

The Nazi occupation regime attempted to impose a new government agency for physicians in the Netherlands. Registration meant participating in the Third Reich’s program of eugenics. More than 6,200 Dutch physicians went on strike in protest, and the Nazis finally rescinded the order.
