OEA General Counsel
The Oregon Education Association is looking for a General Counsel to join our team! The General Counsel manages the member legal services and corporate legal affairs programs for the Association and advises Association leaders, members, and staff on collective bargaining and individual employment issues; as well as provides advice and counsel on internal staff and labor relations. In conjunction with the Director of Public Affairs & Professional Excellence (PAPE), the General Counsel also assists with the Public Affairs department on legislative and ballot measure issues as needed.
UniServ Consultant - Community College + other assigned locals (Portland or Eugene)
The Oregon Education Association is looking for a new team member who will carry out a variety of tasks related to membership growth, bargaining, advocacy, organizing, training, recruiting, and retaining members on various community college campuses and other assigned locals. The person in this position will work under the general direction of the Executive Director, Director of Advocacy & Affiliate Services and/or designee, and will work with colleagues, UniServ Councils, leaders, and members to integrate elements of OEA and local organizing, bargaining, political advocacy, and membership plans. This position will be based at either our office in Portland, Oregon or Eugene, Oregon; however it is expected to spend time in the field and will require travel.
