Name: Amelia Carnahan, OEA Member, Beaverton Education Association
Committee: House Committee On Behavioral Health and Health Care
Bill: HB 2948
Position: Support

I am a RN/BSN in the role of District Nurse/School Nurse for Beaverton School District. As a medical professional working within the realm of education, I have a unique and valuable perspective when it comes to supporting the health and wellness of our student population. For me to be the advocate that my students need, my care should be supervised by another medical professional who can understand the work that I do.

When I am supervised by a registered nurse, I am a better advocate for my students and I am challenged to improve my nursing practice.
