Suzanne Bonamici

Suzanne is passionate about public education. She worked her way through community college, university, and law school in Eugene. Her career started at Legal Aid, and she later worked as a consumer protection attorney. Suzanne’s years of experience as a parent volunteer in public schools inspired her first run for office and led her to become a national leader on the Education & Labor Committee, where she Chairs the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Human Services. Her goal is for all students to have access to a well-rounded education and for all educators to have the resources, flexibility, and respect they need and deserve. Suzanne is a co-founder of the Congressional STEAM caucus and also serves on the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis.

Earl Blumenauer

Earl has been a tireless champion in Oregon politics for decades. He has served in the State Legislature, on the Portland Community College Board of Directors, the Portland City Council, the County Commission, and now as the Congressman for Oregon's third congressional district. Throughout his career he has been in hundreds of classrooms interacting with students, educators and leadership at all levels. As a state legislator, he chaired the revenue and school finance committee engineering historic levels of support and has been involved in virtually every bond measure and levy supporting local public schools and community colleges. As a public schools student, parent, board member, and elected official he has been a stalwart resource for Oregon education and is looking forward to being your champion in Congress as we move through these challenging times.

Val Hoyle

Congressional District 4

Val Hoyle serves as Oregon's Labor Commissioner, a position voters statewide elected her to in 2018. As Labor Commissioner, she ensures that workers are paid the wages and benefits they are owed under the law, oversees enforcement of civil rights and housing discrimination protections for Oregonians, and has jurisdiction over apprenticeship programs that provide workforce training across the state. Previously, Val represented West Eugene and Junction City in the Oregon Legislature, where she was elected by her colleagues to serve as the House Majority Leader and led the work to pass legislation increasing the minimum wage, providing paid sick days to workers, and requiring universal background checks for firearm purchases. Val has lived in Lane County for 22 years, and currently resides in Springfield with her husband Stephen.

Jamie McLeod-Skinner

Congressional District 5

Jamie McLeod-Skinner is the proud daughter of a retired public school teacher who taught her to always leave a place better than she found it. She has spent her life doing exactly that. Jamie was born in Wisconsin and spent several years in Tanzania, where her mother taught, before her family moved to southern Oregon. Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Master’s in Regional Planning, and a law degree with a focus on Natural Resources Law.

Jamie has spent a lifetime in public service. That includes being elected to a city council and education service district board, a gubernatorial appointment to a statewide natural resources board, and leading recovery efforts for an Oregon city that lost a third of its homes to wildfire, where she secured millions of dollars in aid and housing. Jamie works across the urban-rural divide to facilitate solutions. She models people-centered leadership -- from repairing schools in war torn countries, to developing climate protection policies, to leading wildfire recovery, to shepherding a racial justice and equity policy through a rural education service district board. Through her pragmatic, progressive approach to problem solving and support of diverse communities, Jamie has forged strong ties across Oregon.

Jamie grew up in a working-class household. Her grandfather was a machinist who organized on the factory floor while her grandmother was a union secretary for the same manufacturer. She is a proud former AFSCME member, who prevented her workgroup from being demoted through negotiation with management. Because her mother wasn’t able to join a union, she drove a school bus before and after school and picked apples in the summer in order to make ends meet. Jamie has seen the power of unions in her daily life.

Andrea Salinas

Congressional District 6

A working mom, longtime community advocate, and state representative, Andrea Salinas has dedicated her life to building a better future for all Oregonians.

Andrea is the daughter of a Mexican immigrant and saw the strength and sacrifices her own parents made to pave a stronger path for her and her sister. She felt that same determination when her own daughter, Amelia, was born 16 years ago, and she has been fighting for a strong Oregon ever since.

Since joining the Oregon House in 2017 and quickly ascending into House leadership, Andrea has been a champion for women and working families, fighting for — and winning — protections for women janitors who were being abused by their employers, and passing some of the nation’s most transparent drug pricing laws so families aren’t choosing between food and prescription drugs, along with laws curbing carbon pollution and phasing out dirty coal, and the strongest reproductive rights law in the country.

Andrea knows change isn’t easy, but it’s always possible when you fight for it, and she’s ready to bring our voice to Washington, D.C., and create a future where every person has the chance to succeed.

Pam Marsh

Rep. Pam Marsh has lived in Southern Oregon since 1994. She has worked as Deputy Director of a local nonprofit providing drug and alcohol prevention and treatment and served as Executive Director of Ashland Emergency Food Bank. Marsh previously served as a City Councilor and has served in the state legislature since 2016. In 2022 she served as Chair of the House Committee On Environment and Natural Resources.

Nancy Nathanson

Rep. Nathanson has lived in Eugene since 1973 and has served as a state representative since 2006. She was elected to City Council in 1992, and has also served on the Lane County Public Safety Coordinating Council, the Intergovernmental Human Services Committee of Lane County, and the Lane Regional Air Pollution Authority. She serves as Chair of the House Interim Committee on Revenue.

Julie Fahey

Majority Leader Fahey has been a state legislator since 2017. She represents West Eugene and Junction City, where she says she frequently hosts constituent coffee meetings to hear directly from constituents. She has served in the Eugene chapter of PEO, a philanthropic organization providing educational opportunities for women. She also volunteers as a leader of wilderness trips for underserved youth in Oregon. The Majority Leader is chair of the House Interim Committee on Rues, and VIce-Chair of the House Interim Committee on Housing.

Tom Andersen has lived and worked in Salem for more than three decades. He has served as Salem City Council member and has been on the Salem Housing Authority. As City Councilor he has worked on projects to build a new police station, make updates to the library, build new homeless shelters, and develop Salem's climate action plan. He lives in Salem with his wife, Jessica.

Paul Evans

Representative Evans was born in Salem, Oregon. He has been a teacher, a volunteer firefighter, a school board member, and a mayor. For 20 years, Paul served in the Air Force and Oregon Air National Guard before becoming Oregon's point-man on veterans' issues and a State Representative. He has served as Chair of the House Committee on Veterans and Emergency Preparedness and is currently the Chair of the House Special Committee on Wildfire Recovery.

Bowman serves as chair of the Tigard-Tualatin School Board and grew up in the district. He is a 7th-generation Oregonian. Bowman graduated from the University of Oregon.

Courtney Neron

Susan McLain

Rep McLain is a 5th generation Oregonian, and was raised on farms in the Willamette Valley. She was involved in 4-H and raised sheep, swine, and beef cattle with her brothers and sisters.

McLain graduated from Western Oregon University and went on to become a teacher. She raised her family in Forest Grove and lives there today. The Rep is Co-Chair of the Joint Interim Committee On Ways and Means Interim Subcommittee on Education.

Dr. Hai Pham

Hai was born in a grass hut in a refugee camp in Malaysia after his parents fled Vietnam in 1980. Determined to get to the United States, they were eventually sponsored by a church and emigrated to Oregon. In 2007, right before Hai was about to start his residency at OHSU & Doernbecher, he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Hai’s life experiences motivated him to give back to the community through providing healthcare. In 2010, he started Hi 5 Dental: Dentistry for Kids, to provide care for underserved children of Washington County. In the over a decade since founding Hi 5, the practice has expanded to now serve children from all around the state. An active community volunteer, Hai represents Oregonians on the Oregon Board of Dentistry and the Oregon’s Children Cabinet. He and his wife, Natalie, and their newborn son, Elijah, live in Hillsboro.

Julianna Walters is mayor of West Linn and previously served on the West Linn City Council. She lives in West Linn with her husband and four children. Walters also served on the Clackamas County Childcare Task Force.

Daniel Nguyen previously served on the Lake Oswego City Council. He and his wife Katherine founded their restaurant business 19 years ago. Nguyen served on the Immigration Counseling Service Business for a Better Portland and was Co-Chair of PCC School of Business & Entrepreneurship Advisory Committee.

Janelle Bynum

Rep. Bynum is a local small business owner. The Rep has served on the Board of Trustees for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon, Business Oregon, the Center for Women’s Leadership, and the Oregon Commission on Black Affairs. Previously she was the Director of the Oregon Just Transition Alliance. She earned a BA from Lewis & Clark College and a Masters in Urban Studies from Portland State University.
