Delegate Travel Dates: July 1 (fly to Orlando), and July 7 (fly home)

Important Dates

  • NEA to send emails to Local Presidents beginning the week of January 30, 2023, with delegate allocation information
    • All forms will be sent electronically via email; link will be provided to NEA website for forms & info
    • OEA will follow up with emails to Local Presidents through the deadline of April 10
      • Locals eligible to cluster will receive separate emails including clustering details/instructions and list of locals eligible to cluster (locals with 75 or fewer members are eligible to cluster)
  • OEA begins sending emails to NEA RA delegates the week of March 20
  • Locally elected NEA RA delegate names are due to the Office of the OEA President by April 10, 2023 (earlier is better so that we can send delegates information about First Caucus)
  • First Caucus meeting will be Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the Holiday Inn Portland – Columbia Riverfront
Travel Information
  • 2023 NEA RA Delegate Travel Allotment will be reviewed and approved by the OEA Board at their March 4 meeting.
    • Once approved the travel allotment will be shared with local presidents.
    • Airfare checks for existing state delegates scheduled to begin processing the week of March 13.
    • Airfare checks for newly elected state delegates scheduled to begin processing the week of March 27.
    • Airfare checks for OCESP-funded delegates will begin processing as soon as possible after receipt of all required paperwork.
    • Airfare checks for OEA-Retired delegates will begin processing as soon as possible after receipt of all required paperwork.

Other Information

  • Link to sign up for an NEA Committee will be provided as soon as it has been created.
  • Delegate forms and information will be provided to delegates via delegate communications.
  • Delegates are required to agree to and follow all NEA COVID protocols; the current protocols can be found here. These protocols are from September 2022 and may be updated by NEA at any time.
