Evaluation Update

A primary focus of the Center for Great Public Schools is educator-driven evaluations. Toward that end, the Center is engaged in a partnership with the Oregon Department of Education in developing two pilot districts on teacher evaluation with an emphasis on supporting ongoing professional growth for teachers. Additionally, the Center is supporting the 12 other pilots by providing evaluation training, assistance to staff and leaders. To date, the Center has trained nearly 2,000 educators and administrators on how to develop effective evaluation systems that promote professional growth of educators not focused on standardized test scores.

If you are interested in getting involved in developing a collaborative evaluation and support system in your district, we invite you to download our recently-released Teacher Evaluation & Support System Guidebook.
